Facing the Giants along my life Journey

I want to share a video clip from the movie “Facing the Giants”. It really struck me in such a powerful way and I want to share this video clip to you and I knew this is worth sharing. I found this video from YouTube several years ago when I tried to search for some motivational video. Actually, I seen the full lent of this movie but this scene is my favorite. The movie itself is very inspiring.

If only each one of us can push our limit and use our God’s gift talent/skill sets (blind folded or not) and without thinking all the difficulties in our path, we can surely reach the end zone (goals / dreams).

I really enjoy watching inspirational or motivational movies or video clips. It really helps me to think positive again and move forward even if there are difficulties along my way. For me, watching motivational videos or reading motivational books/quotes is a must. As Mr. Zig Ziglar says:

Take Risk to Achieve Success


It’s a human instinct to be in a safe zone rather than to be lost in an unknown world. It does not matter if it is physical, emotional or mental kind of comfort that is in question, people will always choose to be within what is normal for them, instead of going out of the box and taking risks.

To be honest, being safe is good because it keeps things in perfect order. Being in a comport zone keeps you from making mistakes and putting yourself in danger, but while being safe is easily the best decision to go, it is not exactly the right way to go. I am on this state for almost my whole life until recently I discovered my full potential and managed to think out of the box.


There is something good about choosing to be brave and stretching yourself. In this way, you can see your full potential and gain a new appreciation of yourself. There are such things as calculated risks and if you are careful, these risks will not be risks at all. It is taking a risk that can lead to a fortunate gain; and it is a risk that will always be worth taking. By taking risks, you will begin to feel stronger. Every time you succeed to accomplish one task, you will see yourself grow.

Below are some benefits you will achieve if you think out of the box:

More opportunities will unfold
– There is only so much that you can see from a single standing point, but you will realize just how much is out there when you finally open yourself up and get exposed. When you get out of the box, you open yourself to a lot of risks, but at the same time you open yourself to great opportunities that you may not be aware of before.

Inspire other people
-Not a lot of people get the right courage to be bold and be courageous. When you take that risky step outside of your comfort zone and achieve to show just how beneficial choosing boldness could be, you get to touch other people’s lives who may be struggling on their own, and inspire them to be bold and courageous, too, like yourself.

Become stronger
– You will become stronger because when you go out there you get to face more challenges and these challenges will make you stronger. You will be more in tune to your true capacity. If you used be afraid to take risks, you will now feel that you have more power to do anything that you put your mind to doing.

Learning Opportunities
– When you go out of your comfort zone, you will encounter different things, out there and you may make mistakes but ultimately you will learn so much more, compared to when you keep yourself confined in a box.

More focus on the end result
-You are no longer confined to what is usual. You are no longer restricted and kept from doing things. When you go outside the box, you become focused not on the boundaries, but on the results and the way in which you can achieve it.

How to Maintain Positive Mindset

Positive thinking is one of a well-known strategy that many successful individual used to improve the quality of life, attract what they want and creating happiness. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to learn and understand the importance of staying positive.

Have you noticed someone who always complains about almost everything is less happy and less fulfilled in their life? These individuals become quickly frustrated by the inevitable stress, changes and challenges they experience.. It may be your colleagues, friends, relatives or even you. You might not be aware that you are one of those people who always spoil someone’s good mood.

It is true that developing the habit of positive mindset does not happen overnight. No supplement/medicine that you can take and change your way of thinking in just a blink of an eye. Especially if you grew up in an environment where in negative is all around and you are not even aware since it is just part of your daily life. Maintaining a positive mindset is a process that you need to regularly form and manifest in order to develop a habit, a pattern that you consistently do.

Staying in a positive mindset helps to allow the mind to focus on strengths and accomplishments, rather than weaknesses and setbacks, which increases happiness and motivation – which improves results and circumstances. Then opens the mind to opportunity and allows more potential for making progress – leaving less time for feeling down and stuck. There is no need to consult a professional to turn yourself into a person with positive mindset.

You can manage to develop your own thinking patterns with a few simple tips.

Practice the Attitude of Gratitude. (Make it a Habit)
– The power of gratitude is 100% true. What you choose to focus on expands and manifest. A simple “Thank You” in the morning will help you attract good things the rest of the day if you maintain that good feeling. Waking up every morning is a blessing that you need to be thankful for. This is just one of example that you can practice the Attitude of Gratitude. How about being grateful for the break fast your parents / wife prepared for your? Being grateful for having a dog that licks your face to wake you up? Being grateful for the sun rise / sun set? Or almost everything around you. You see? There are several things to be grateful for.

If you focus on things to be grateful for in your life no matter how small it is, you will surely feel great and at ease. With this, you will maintain that felling the whole day and surely attracts good things on to your life. If you’re a Law of Attraction fan, I’m sure you may have heard of the power of gratitude before.

Avoid Negative Words / Phrases. (Use simple positive affirmations instead)
– Using negative words or terms. Below are some sample statements expressing negative thinking and alternative ways of delivering it in an affirmative manner:

Negative: I can’t make it.
Positive: I will give it another try and do my best to win the next time around.

Negative: I can’t do anything about it anymore.
Positive: There will always be a way to solve it.

Mistakes / failures are always present in our life. But don’t focus on them. Or better, don’t call them as “Mistakes” and “Failures”. You can call them as “LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES”. Calling them as Learning Opportunities will help you to shift your mind to a positive side and it will push your self to move forward.

Connect with Positive Person and eat their brains like zombies. please don’t take this literally ; )
– Connecting with like minded positive people is essential and it will certainly help you maintain your positive mindset. Being around with these kinds of people will reduce loneliness and increase self-esteem. Think of someone or a group of people who you know who has a positive outlook in life. Take them as your example in developing a positive aura. Looking up to someone as a role model can easily guide you in molding your thinking patterns as well as your actions. Surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way.

Lend a hand to someone in need
– It is a guaranteed happiness booster. Can you remember someone you helped in the past and imagine how they say “thank you” to you with a smile on their face? It really feels good right? You can volunteer your time, your resources, knowledge, talents or just make it a habit to help someone everyday. The more positive energy you put out into the world, the more you will receive in return. If you maintain that good feeling each day, you will be always in good vibrations and attract good things to you life.

Look for the Silver Lining (once found, focus on it)
– Always remember that anything happens for a reason and it is in a Good Way. Focus on the brighter side of a negative experience. What WAS, is DONE. There is no sense to dwell further on what cannot be undo. That way, you are shifting your mindset to a more positive outlook and you are teaching yourself how to inject hope to a rather unpromising or gloomy situation. Again, this is another “LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES”.

Schedule a ME Time (Love your self)
– Go treat yourself for a relaxing massage, watch a movie, walk in a park to relax, make nature your best friend, eat well, exercise, meditate and sleep well. How can you think positive and maintain it if your body (both physically and mentally) is not in good condition? Do anything that will help your body maintain its health. It is helpful to become selfish sometimes 😉

Use these tips religiously and it is guaranteed that you will maintain the positive mindset and your life will improve significantly.

How to attain bigger chance of success

Like many people, I’m keenly interested in self-improvement and achieving success. It is pretty obvious why I choose for this blog. I’ve been longing to build a blog like this several years ago but just like any other decisions to make, procrastination is the number one that hinders me to push myself and put it in to action. What should I blog about, I might just waste my time and efforts, I am not a good writer, what if it will not work, what if I failed to pump traffic to my blog, what if I run out of topics to write and many other “WHAT IF’s”.

Until one day I realized that I need to do this and follow that little voice inside me. I still can’t understand it even up to this very moment. What I know for sure is I need to make the first step even though the path is not clear enough. Just like the sayings:

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

I am not aiming to become a personal development guru or a life coach. What I just want to do is to share something about self-improvement niche and how my life changed when I change the way I think. No, I am not a Law of Attraction expert but I know that it really works since I experienced it myself. Like many others, I work hard to improve life on a daily basis.  Even though I believe in The Law of Attaction and already developed a few positive habits, I still have miles to go.

“I’m a work in progress – I’m not there yet – I’m just not where I used to be”

We all deserve to be successful but some people are afraid of success because they think that it is only meant for a selected few. I have that thinking before and I thank God it is no longer in my system. Success is a choice and it can be achieved by anyone. If you have the right attitude, success can easily be yours. You have to be aware of all the limiting beliefs that were embedded to your system when you are young, eliminate them, and reprogram your mind by changing the way you think.

Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life

It is very important in an early stage that you know that changing your thoughts alone will not work. It is not that “all you have to do is think positively and everything in your life will be great”. This is the miss interpretation of the Law of Attraction by many people. It doesn’t work that way my friend.

If you want to achieve success, give yourself a bigger chance by:

Doing what you really want

  • Having a clear vision of what you really want and passion in life is a must. It should be what you love and NOT what others want you to do. Look at the mirror and ask yourself what you want to achieve. What do you really want to happen to your life? You have to work very hard whatever it is you choose to do. Fulfillment will mean so much more because it is more personal and definitely straight to the heart.


  • It’s your blueprint for success. Your plan describes how you can reach each step from where you are, or where you will be. Having a plan means you can avoid long detours that might compromise your chances of reaching your dreams. Writing a plan strengthens your journey and it will help you to push your limits. It also gives you a sense of purpose and formidable reason.

Taking action

  • It’s good to have a plan but it is just a plan and it won’t do anything to you unless you take it in to action. It does not really matter how good your plan is. Your good ideas are good for nothing unless you take action.

Staying focused

  • Focused on your end goal no matter what and have more fear of regret than failure. Sometimes, things might not work out exactly how you plan it. You can still change your plan and make some detours but never ever change your end goal. Or worst, don’t ever give up and forget what you are aiming. Don’t forget what you really want in life. Once you start going, just keep going and don’t give up. The only way to really fail is to give up and forget your dreams. You will surely encounter some obstacles along your journey but you can chip away at it, go around it or make detour. You can certainly regroup and find another way towards your end goal. If one of your plans failed, dust yourself off, look for the silver lining (learn from your mistakes), make another plan, take massive action, just keep going and stay focused.

Believing in yourself

  • Believe in yourself that you can do anything. Use your God given talents / skill sets and believe on them. You have to believe in your power to do things and make things happen. Even if everything seems impossible due to several challenges along the way, just think that those challenges are cleverly disguised opportunities for growth. Believe in yourself and to your talents that you can overcome them. You have to believe that you are powerful enough to see things through and no amount of trouble can ever shake you or discourage you from getting what you really deserve.

Always be grateful

  • Be grateful on what you currently have and enjoy it. Appreciate what you’ve achieved so far, and see that what you want, where you’re going. Not what you don’t have, not what your need or not what you must do. If you appreciate all the things you currently have, you will experience a good feeling, contentment and inner joy. Eventually you will attract more positive things and better situation. With this feeling, you are now removing all negating things from your mind and you are now changing your thoughts and it will lead in changing your circumstances for the better.
